Upon posting my article The Atheist and Their Stolen Morality in Reddit's Christianity section, I received a quick rash of comments aimed at subverting God's unchangeable truth in favor of the foolish nonsense spewing from man's wicked heart. Jeremiah 17:9 says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"
An obvious atheist took offense and let loose with a barrage of false accusations against God, non-sequitor logical fallacies, and an evidently bitter hatred for God. Never mind the very subtly implied ad hominem attack that I was a brainless robot because I choose to obey the word of God.

One contributor, though understanding some of the arguments I made, showed a plain lack of scriptural knowledge about God's stance towards a self-righteous, unrepentant denier of God.
"It is also needlessly antagonistic (stolen morality? really?). So I don't think it is an effective strategy nor a terribly helpful counter to atheist worldviews." Reddit User: WalkingHumble
I stand by the statement that an atheist is stealing morality from God. If a man breaks into your house to "borrow" your gun, only to turn around and try to shoot you with it, you wouldn't call that borrowing. In the same way, an atheist who "borrows" God's moral standards, only to turn around and try to defeat God, is stealing, not borrowing. A friend borrows, an enemy steals, generally speaking. If nothing else makes him an enemy of God, then it is his insistent denial of God while still enjoying the goodness of God.
The Bible says in Psalm 14:1, "...The fool hath said in his heart,There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." And again in Psalm 53:1, it is repeated, "...The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good."
"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." it says in Romans 8:7. And in Colossians 1:21 it says, "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled" and in Romans 5:10, "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life."

This is a plain teaching of God's scripture. If you choose not to believe this, then you don't serve the God of the Bible, you've instead made a god in your own image and are turned to idols. You need to repent.
"If you think that there is a God, yet you do not realize it, that he is such a God as he really is. You do not realize it, that he is so holy as he is; that he has such a hatred of sin as indeed he has; that he is so just a God as he is, who will by no means clear the guilty. But that in the Psalms is applicable to you: “these things hast thou done, and I kept silence: thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself,” Psalm 50:21. So that your atheism appears in this, as well as in thinking there is no God. So that your objection arises from this, that you do not find such a sensible hatred against that god which you have formed, to suit yourself; a god that you like better than the true God. But this is no argument that you have not bitter enmity against the true God; for it was your enmity against the true God, and your not liking him, that has put you upon forming up another in your imagination, that you like better. It is your enmity against those attributes of God’s holiness and justice, and the like, that has put you upon conceiting another, who is not so holy as he is, and does not hate sin so much, and will not be so strictly just in punishing it; and whose wrath against sin is not so terrible." Jonathan Edwards, Sermon: Men Naturally Are God's Enemies, 1736
An atheist is a lost man, a natural man, unrepentant and without the Holy Spirit, and just like every other wicked sinner, he is an enemy of God while still in this natural state and headed for the lake of fire. If he is offended by the truth, then that's his problem, an unbelief in his heart that he needs to work out with God. Besides, it seems lately that many unbelievers are easily antagonized. Just the name of Christ sets some men off.
"Man has naturally a principle of atheism in him; an indisposition to realize God’s being, and a disposition to doubt of it. The being of God does not ordinarily seem real to natural men. All the discoveries that there are of God’s being in his works, will not overcome the principle of atheism in the heart. And though they seem in some measure to be rationally convinced, yet it does not appear real; the conviction is faint. There is no strong conviction impressed on the mind that there is a God. And oftentimes they are ready to think that there is none. Now this will prevent the exercise of this enmity, which otherwise would be felt; particularly, it may be an occasion of there not being sensible exercises of hatred." Jonathan Edwards, Sermon: Men Naturally Are God's Enemies, 1736
